Sublimed soul

Fairly ice for instance, an arrow carved,
And shot on blazing sun-fed May,
Aught not be destined afar, but melt away,
Same did you rose up radiant bright,
But alike billows you sublimed soon,
Full four past to fifth New Year
You bounced high with merry prawns,
All through the days in summer stream,
And brought for me, some wild blossoms,
Blooming nearby green paddy field,
Where ripened our autumn rice.
I laid by and watched your play,
Or plucked for you, some mangoes green,
But you grasped for prawns to feed,
The reason ahead their need and gain
So all they were, your closest breed
Though alas for me did you leave
All truth of how you sublimed far,
As warm stream bubbled through my foot,
Prawns all swam near with ears so wide,
Till I poured of you sound near.

Brilliant showpiece was I in class,
Excelled in all given to pass,
Where I returned home by dusk,
You ran to comb my shattered books,
Running then for coin or par
But fair brother, my next heart,
Those painful last days of your life,
Marks my reminiscence of sustained ache
As your breast pause not so far
I felt you lying pale and lost,
Swollen belly with sunken face
Counting last breathe till graveyard
To my way on school and back,
I passed by your bed, as though fresh,
No vigor to gaze you, but peep low
And along trail, incessant tears rolled
Hands were torn then, chest mudded,
My knees bled and eyes sank down,
Melted soft by those worshipped foot,
Knelt and cried to give my breathe,
But all faded, as worthless sheds,
Failed thus to save you from transient leap,
Now I hold your saline graveyard soil,
Dusting my wet face dull and dry,
Same dust turning my dark hairs gray.
As my eyelids crawl too close,
I feel true; my arms wrapping you,
Your breath breezing my chest warm,
Whereby, as my eyes chop wide,
Only to see but blanket cold,
Cupped and pressed hard by my chest,
And a vacant bed aside.
Squeezing same wet pillow close,
I murmur then with helpless lips-
My books all gone moldy green,
Torn and shattered besides bed,
Coins too all have turned so pale,
Inside crackling half split box,
None there now I owe for bet,
And some you left, half unused.
No more prawns now in streams,
To welcome me with bubbling dive,
Where once poured their merry heart,
And marked day for happy start
No more brilliant I, stand in class,
My pages too peeled of tears,
Even from master’s speech through day,
I hear but from that deathbed you say-
“See my blinking eyes, my dear,
See my lips with murmur warm,
Soon to cease cold forever,
And your brother’s graveyard near,
In corner’s split wooden box,
Coins I saved some left unused,
Ones you owed me, for the bet
Find them all and take for self,
For here ends my DREAMS of LIFE”

Noble fruit

I aim for perfect end,
As I stoop old, and stiffened bend,
Towards peaceful vapor, silence cold
Like calm breeze, or midnight moon,
Tranquil Blend with mindless mind,
Or mind selfless, open or close
All tinge like summer haze dissolved,
All grasping like lotus out-turned,
Or benevolent sprout chaste,
Mighty earth which bless and blow.
I recognize now, a moment
Different me from one yesterday,
Different yet from unsure tomorrow,
Where are those sorrows I breathed?
Where gone that mirth?
Who shall prove thus,
Mind same from distance long,
In perfect ease now, but I recall
Wasn’t I restless then? Or wished for some,
Vague in my nerves, shadows dark,
And for blossoms, my heart longing,
None thus, assets of passing self,
No thread linking, committed beads,
Rather, stacked mound of smelted coins.
Thus seeking not, with impious nerves,
Shall strive for a perfect ‘now’
‘Now’ in conscience deep and one,
Alike comfy couch of midnight air,
Though still there, yet into distance afar,
Or an unseen moving star
Let the moving not move,
Rather, an empty sealed vaunt,
Excellence serving serene within,
Luminous and radiant,
Clear for timeless ever.

Perished lovers

I unearthed a rusted metal coin,
Little pound for an unarmed soul,
Read some scripts over- “for my perished lover”
Mystery dug then, my nerves deep,
For why hue in silence,
In roots of deep virgin forest,
Am I, by destiny virtue? Or just fun,
Curiosity pricked my vigor kindle,
Senses streamlined, I pulled a brown twig,
And shuffled away those leafy base,
Vigorous strokes unearth more and more,
- Until more

Amidst eve of dribbling sweats,
A girl condensed within, crawling so near,
‘Don’t dig my house, don’t dig”
Situation jerked me some distance far,
Freezing my lips to numb and breathless,
She came flying fast,
Touch fainter than the faintest breeze,
Her cry pierced, with tears drying halfway
Before long that dug base soiled wet,
I tried to hold her, alike a rainbow up,
Who could ever? Mere figured air,
Tinted with breathing mixture,
Rather I hold my terrorized mind,

Yet sitting too near, determined heart paused,
A handful distance from her air boat,
She stretched her faint finger to my cheeks,
And cried high again-
Other shivering hand pointing an encaged hut,
Under thick jungle vines and rotting pulps,
“There lives my love, myself here”
A cautioned march nearer, and whole then,
But, all decaying bones of some ages,
Hung by a leathery length of thick mushy rope
She too dissolved into thin fuming air

Was she monstrous, or aid she longed?
I shrieked and galloped, with feeble paining heart,
Across corn fields, plunging into muddy streams,
Far in the valley below, saw countrymen riding-
My destination was warmer than ever,
Heart sobbed loud, merging with every passerby.

Now in the silence of dreams and awakened mind,
Seeking abreast bosom of my love, hugging
I question myself-
Is that love…or selflessness?
That two hold one, beyond lives
I assume more - love is one
Love is selflessness!

Nightmare

Busy Friday ended heavy,
Minute aches of day labor twitching,
Bitter day held joints too firm
Ceasing soon in my cotton base,
Within first light hours, of sweetened dreams,
A tall fairy broke silence of lazy nap,
Sight squeezing; mere bouncing ball,
She, virtuous figured but a blind one,
Thus spread her soft hands for base,
I stretched cautious, lending hold of need,
She was quite distant and fiddly faced,
Dimmed eyes made her move agile,
But much though I longed to fetch hold,
She gapped the length of pace at par,
Amidst dream, awakened depth followed,
With distance roughly counted,
She marched backwards with luring smile,
And same did I, following measured,
Chasing still her smile to hold sooner,
Chilled heart followed thus, further
Some length pass, she paused by,
Her beauty peeled off thence, on hold,
Opening her eyes- bulging blue and red,
Mouth bled some dark blood, gapped lips bubbling,
Dragging me through bushes, shrieking thunderous,
I was then driven far, into scary wild,
She laughed loud and dissolved within
Hours haunting me even more,
Watch then spoke one, of rising new,
That laughter thundered again,
Beats then drumming hard on walls,
And flesh numbed- with breathe echoing croak,
Losing self, by black shady tree,
Branches all crossed, rugged down to grasp,
As beneath I sat, cool broth dribbled,
Within shades of cold morning moon,
Upon which a mass hung-my sight fixed,
With stammering heart, I stretched close,

A young lady, off-emotions hanging down,
Face well covered with long bundled hair,
Matted thickened, by streaming blood,
Jaws were half fallen; chilly and dead
I opted round turn, to sublime away,
But within paces of first fine leap-
A voice echoed again “you are trapped”
With vigorous heart I turned round,
The same dead, with built in breath
Her bulging eyes played, dark and round,
Last sight I recall, then fallen lifeless
Next dawn hour I woke up-
Lying over base of old chopped woods,
And charcoals of some age strewn,
Neither tree nor the girl sighted,
But some joints and segments,
With rusted signet fastened tight.

Lazy noon meditation

Soft cushioned hill top of brown leaves,
An inch for breeze between old oak feet,
And straightened stance, with perfect base,
A wakeful gaze I made, down into valley low,
Warm blow rustled away resigning leaves,
Merry birds hovered high, with chirp and chants,
Shady tree blessed thus, on hot lazy noon.
Hoping though, serene unblemished move,
Yet imperfection besieged,
And within quest for deep single mind,
My labored lids softened weighty down,
Head bowing low to soft angle snooze,
Bushy beard brushing, chest warm
Guards of shelled lids’ shutter closed,
I breathed faint murmur, then a comfy trance,
An hour lifeless, yet not dead,
I forgot base, and gushing breeze,
Needless even, for air I breathed,
I was formless, and watch sailed plain,
No fragranced today or tinged tomorrow,
Who was I then, whose body I cherished?
Was I really me, or one with empty space?
A mirror that reflected ideal, I wished
Neither pain triggered, nor poisons lead,
Naught thus maturing age longed,
For sensual flavor,
Or to my acquaintance, no hustle charged again,
A moment of transient bliss, semi lost,
Alike calm midnight pond and stainless sky,
Or extinguished fire- potent fireless,
Partial death, through trance I glanced
And learnt to grasp wisdom borne deep;
“How flawed was it to say, I own myself,
How flawed was it to say, I praise difference,

How flawed was it…”

DISCRIMINATION AND DOMINANCE- A DOWNFALL OF HUMANITY

This is a short abstract from my book ‘Earth- Neither start, nor the end of life, a blend of Science and Philosophies’.

When a child looks at a sword without manipulated mind, he shall see just an object. For him, that sword bears neither the properties of benefit or destruction as its inherent quality. A man with his positive attitude sees same object as a machine to ease his work of chopping wood or clearing bushes on his path or to save someone, such as a strangled cow on a slope with her own tethering rope. Meanwhile, a murderer sees that same object with properties of his benefit for harming his enemies or some innocent beings.
Though inherently it is a mere metal piece without any separate appearance, yet it develops qualities as per viewer’s choice and discretion. Thus, all these functional differences are created by individual’s views and attitude towards environment, towards oneself. Similarly, to be a responsible citizen, one need not hold noble post, nor an ideal place to serve, but with one’s positive attitude and behavior, one’s humbleness towards micro and macro-environment.

In the cycle of Eco-system, discrimination and dominance is an animal behavior, but these behaviors have become part of human culture too. At present it has become strongly engrained in societies, whereby the child born yesterday knows about whom to be regarded and whom not. Owing to our own ignorance we tend to forget that we all are the blessings on this Earth where every individual has the right to live a life of his own accord without fear of Earth asking anything in return, but we are our own obstacles, barriers in achieving peace and prosperity, in achieving freedom.
If we consider all the varieties of living forms at the level of primordial energy, the consciousness, there is no difference between man and any other living creatures, which are merely classified on the basis of physical appearance, thus no reason to live at the cost of others’ lives, other than through mutual benefit. This mental stigma due to lack of understanding of the oneness has been one of the reasons for disharmony amongst human and societies, leading to serious problems like world wars, which is ultimately the destruction of our own race; the race of one blood line and the mother planet as a whole and this is the cause of down fall into the sorrowful end.
HUMAN AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As the purpose of a ruler is to safeguard his country and ensure happiness, the purpose of all human beings is to safeguard this mother planet and all living forms. Because, in the hierarchy of existence, we are the rulers and all other living forms are like citizens of the country whose happiness depends on that ruler. We are the only conscious beings to realize, analyze and actualize the pros and cons of every move that we undertake in the journey of our lives.
It is the responsibilities of every individual to feel the pain first on oneself before inflicting harm onto the other as every creature is found to fear death. If we consider our own feelings, we all would like to die a natural death, not inflicted by any kind of illnesses or injuries, which could be understood from others’ angle of perception too. Even the ant on his way has his own purpose of moving- to feed himself, to feed or get food for his siblings or to find a better home, which is no different from our own hopes and fears that we generate in mind before setting out for any purpose.
Not only the living forms but every component that exists as part of our Eco-system needs our genuine protection and care, which are our intimate friends and partners for survival by benefiting one another. Inevitably, even at the cost of others’ lives we survive at times when no alternatives are available, but not joyfully into our wants and demands. This constructive guilt if all of us adopted, shall reshape our world tomorrow into a better place for our future generations to live, a better culture for them to uphold and pass on.
So to understand others’ pain and pleasure, to protect and uphold others’ happiness and cause of their happiness are our responsibilities, if not also, we should understand, as someone rightly pointer out- ‘if you cannot do good to others, at least do not harm them’.
In short, it all means to respect the world and benefit oneself by benefiting others so that the Earth’s process of ageing is not enhanced by our presence apart from natural process, which shall in turn help our Earth to give us better livelihood for longer than expected period of time.

The Lost Promise

Not a single crimson lodged westwards,
Without spaces for her softer words-
A juvenile girl, in lower grade she read,
So sweet in phrases, shared often,
Those soothing chants that breathed always,
Naught ere, did her breath console low,
Sometimes with tears inscribed, wet,
And joy at times, of length akin,
Her childish youth laden, thus filled my breath,
And beyond brim often, pouring thence,
To neighboring nerves of most beats

Like white fall, of bubbly summer stream,
Curling down, green bosoms of lower earth,
Same did time wane in tiny paces,
Beyond seven full moon almost,
Guidance sometimes, for her maturing nerves,
And at times, same gossips smoothened,
Nesting me, in worship of her elders,
Every finger strikes, so bound closer,
Soothing most pinched sores too.

One fine evening, verses stretched long,
Where I recall yet, her promise-
“My friend, you shall be first listed,
To unlock buzz and save me in pockets too,
For, my mom owe me a phone next morrow,
Thence would its inauguration marked,
And thus Christmas glow”-
“Gallons of wishes li’l girl- gallons,
Let heavens shower holy petals ere” I quoted,
Partial of joy seeping into mine

Early next dawn of drizzly dark,
With faint streaks of eastern waves,
Coursing through my left oriel,
And amidst paces of most lighter throbs,
My steps moved through, till minutes passed,
Where then a shadow crept in;
“Grave of quarter world swept- a Tsunami”,
Shuffling to nearby mirror, I glanced,
My hands shivering and eyes blurred,
Heart numbed, I asked- she was off
Queries heaped, and patience busted,
Sprinkled myself, over pale lawn
Yet hopes green for her reassurance,
Dreamy hours passed, and I rushed more,
Found she still off and quiet.

Never again, my quote labeled,
Hundreds queries thence perished,
Hopes drenching in overwhelming waves

Days passed, months and years too now,
Heavens back from long turmoil,
And hell dumped down far below,
When my nerves in perfect ease-
Or sitting beneath warmth of distant stars,
The questions repeat those fading times-
“Is she living in some nooks of same?
Or got her last breath soiled by those”
I pray thus, her silence far, than never!
